Sukup 100: from 12th to 4th

June 26, 2011 No Comments

The third consecutive race in a oval track did not started on the right way, because due to a problem with the fuel bomb, I classified 12th, at the end of the starting grid.

But the machine was very fast during practices, so it makes me feel quite convinced to achieve a good result in the race.

And I did it. I started 12th but lap by lap, I moved up, 11th, 9th, 8th… and finally 4th at the 70th lap. Unfortunately, I was 11″ from the leading group, making it almost impossible to cut that distance. I pushed harder, but finally I finished 6″ behind them.

Anyway, I’m very happy with the race because due to the final result I recover the 3rd position in the championship.
